Shortly after the meme's boom in popularity in early May, edits began growing more creative. On May 6th, 10HourMovies posted a 10-hour version of the video, gaining over 570,000 views in three weeks (shown below, right). For example, on May 5th, 2022, YouTuber barosan posted an edit in which Sonic and Tails turn into the Sonic.exe version of themselves, gaining over 1.8 million views in three weeks (shown below, left). Rabbiz' video soon inspired similar, albeit slightly altered spinoffs that also gained significant views on YouTube.
